The following is what I have on my 3xG Grandfather Richard REES, a
Tailor and wife Anne THOMAS. I would love to find their parentage and
get further back but that's not so easy in Wales is it.
I found the following on the IGI when Family Search was about all we had
online back when I started researching.
Richard REES married Anne THOMAS 5 Feb 1819
Anne REES d/o Richard & Anne christened 16 Feb 1819
Richard REES ditto 2 JaN 1820
Morgan REES ditto 27 Jun 1823
William REES ditto 1 Dec 1825
Richard REES ditto 1 Dec 1825
Elizabeth REES ditto 25 Apr 1828 (My great great grandmother)
Margaret REES ditto 7 Dec 1828 (maybe premature?)
Isaac REES ditto 4 May 1831
Lewis REES ditto 23 Sep 1832
Catherine REES ditto 28 Jan 1834
Margaret REES ditto 8 Aug 1836
John REES ditto 5 Mar 1839
I have the family in the 1841 & 1851 living at 'Pen-y-Geulan', Cwm Rheidol,
Llanbadarn Fawr, Cardiganshire, and Richard REES sen. was a Tailor.
I had confirmation that I had the correct family when Elizabeth REES working in London
married Charles DEATH who'd moved from Suffolk, they stayed there and raised their
family until their grown sons needed work
and they travelled to Monmouthshire where they met up with the REES family who had done
the same earlier, they met up in Rhymney, Monmouthshire.
Recently I found two more births, Jane REES born 1842 and Mary REES born 1845.
Does anyone connect with any of this family?
Regards, Catherine Moorey
