Good morning all!
My family history interests (Cards/Pembs) are in hibernation but I am
keeping a watching brief on various sites.
Reference the conversation about wills. I am interested in this concern
with LlGC as I too have my irritations. A primary one concerns their
The Library is supported from UK general taxation - Wales receives UK
taxation money. I am and have been for over 60 years a UK taxpayer.
Unfortunately, I do not have a Wales address and therefore cannot access
all their facilities.
And personal courtesy seems to matter little. One branch of my family
helped found the Patagonia colony. I wrote an article in 'Ninnau', the
newspaper for expats in the Americas, which included family information
from my own research. I was asked by an individual in the library, and
sent, a pdf file of the article - and had neither acknowledgment nor
thanks. I was not kept updated on last year's exhibition and
consequently failed to allow enough time on visiting Aber' last July to
go up Penglais Hill!
What does LLGC exist for except bluff and blarney?
