Thanks for the census image.
Following on from Pat's find, there is definitely a place called Cwm-gwenyn
in Llangeitho parish, CGN, it's shown on the Genuki parish page - the
section containing the place names extracted from the Kain/Oliver maps.
I guess the census may say Cwmgwenau or something like, although the g
doesn't look exactly like the one in Cardigan - as JB says.
As for David Jones - Rhoslyn looks about right to me.
The R looks like the same character as in Rumney below, the 'lyn' bit is
Which leaves you with 'where is Rhoslyn in CGN.
Only one shows up searching Genuki, it's in Llanrhian, PEM.
