Burry Port was then in the Llanelli RD
Freebmd's Deaths have only just reached 1930.
You need someone to access ancestry or similar who have the full GRO
But maybe you'll need to tie down the death date a bit more if at all
possible
For a possible obit, I see from the Newsplan Cymru site that the NLW holds
copies of the Burry Port Star which cover that period.

Subject: [Dyfed] Death in BURRY PORT
I wonder if someone could help me find the death of my paternal
grandfather who was living on Colby Road in Burry Port when he died.
His name was John Phillip JONES. He was born August 4, 1875 in
Llanguick, maried Harriet Ann DAVIES on May 8, 1897 in Pembrey Parish
Church. . I believe he died in the early 1960's. I tried to fnd it
on Free BMD but I don't think they have transcribed deaths as recently
as this. I also sent the same message to the Carmarthen list but
haven't heard back.
Would appreciate receiving any information. There were no relatives
that I know of living in Burry Port when he died. I would also like
to find out where he was buried.
Thanks.
