Mr. A.S.T. LUCAS, Swansea, sold the residence, Cae-Tamar Southwood-lane, Mumbles (lease 86
years, g.r. £4), formerly in the occupation of the late Mr. W.H. HANSON, solicitor, for
£1,200, to Mrs. ROGERS, Langland Hill;. The solicitors for executors were Messrs. HANSON
and NASH, Swansea.
Two freehold small-holdings and a freehold small country residence came under the hammer
of Messrs. RENNIE, TAYLOR, and Co, at the Beaufort Arms Hotel, Monmouth, on Friday. Lot 1,
Tybea Farm, a freehold small-holding, in the parish of Tregare, area 17p. 0r. 10p., sold
at £1.025 to Mrs. REES, Rhondda Valley. Lot 2, freehold small-holding or poultry farm,
known as Wyeside, St. Brivael's Glos., area 10a. 1r. 11p., withdrawn at £900. Lot 3,
freehold small country residence, The Rocks, Hewelsfield, near Tintern, withdrawn at £800.
Mr. WJ. PRICE (F.A.I.), Brecon, offered for sale at the Wellington Hotel, Brecon, on
Friday, nineteen lots of freehold and leasehold dwelling-houses situate in Brecon and
Merthyr Cyno. A freehold property, known as Pontfaen Mill, together with a grist-mill and
six acres of land, was sold to Mr. WILLIAMS, Pontfaen, for £550. A freehold dwelling-house
and builders' premises, known as Uskside, Brecon, was sold to Mr. C. WILLIS, Brecon,
for £1,000, on behalf of a client. The freehold dwelling-houses, Nos. 4 and 6, North-road,
Brecon, were withdrawn at £360. No. 8, North-road, Brecon, in the occupancy of Mr. W.
SHONE, at 10s. 8 1/2d. per week, was bought by the tenant for £365.
No.10, North-road, let to Mr. Samuel WATKINS at a weekly rental of 10s 8 1/2d. was bought
by the tenant for £380. No.12 North-road was purchased by Mr. H.A. BUFTON for £390 on
behalf of a client. No.1. North-road, Brecon, was purchased by Mrs. J. JONES, Trefil
House, for £235. No.3. North-road was withdrawn at £230. No.5. North-road was withdrawn at
£232 10s., and No.7, North-road was withdrawn at £230, while No.9, North-road was also
withdrawn. No.11, North-road was withdrawn at £245. A freehold dwelling-house, No.3,
Maindu-street, Brecon was withdrawn at £135 and No.4, Dainter-street was also withdrawn,
as was No.5 in the same street for £135. Trefil, No.6. Dainter-street was withdrawn for
£170. and London Cottage, Dainter-street, was withdrawn at £95, this being a leasehold
house. A leasehold house, London House Maindu-street, was withdrawn for £80.
At the Cawdor Hotel, Newcastle Emlyn, on Friday, Mr. J.R. JONES (F.A.I.) Llandyssul,
offered for sale the freehold farm and lands called Blaenbachcrydd in the parish of
Llangunllo, containing 69a. 2r. 4p., with vacant possession The property was sold to David
DAVIES, Wstrws, Ffostrassol, for £1,600, plus £70 for timber. The freehold dwelling-house,
garden, and premises, together with blacksmith's forge known as Glanyrafon, otherwise
Brithidr Forge, in the parish of Penbryn, was sold to Mr. Tom. DAVIES, Tymawr, Rhydlewis,
Messrs. LLOYD and THOMAS, auctioneers, offered for sale at the Cawdor Hotel, Newcastle
Emlyn on Friday, the freehold farm and lands called Cil-llech, in the parish of
Llandyfriog, which was sold to Col. E.C. L. FITZWILLIAMS, C.M.G., Cilgwyn, Newcastle Emlyn
for £2,600. The three freehold workmen's cottages, Nos 1,2, and 3, Penlon-Cil-llech,
were sold to Mrs. DAVIES, Bryndioddefuchaf, Newcastle Emlyn.
