Sorry about missing out Sarah's name. On all the census reports Sarah place
of birth is given as PEM apart from one where you can see either Har or Hav
after her name. The 1871 census RG10/5425 for Tymaen Michaelstone Super Avon
Cwmavon in Glamorgan.
Marriage lines 18th May 1852. Sarah James 30 years of age. Father Dan James
deceased Cabinet Maker. They married in Carmel Chapel Aberdare. Their
eldest child was born in 1850, Mary.
Would Dan James be listed in a Kelly's Directory around 1841-1851? I know
that there is not much to go on. Would Dan have served an apprenticeship?
Thanks for your email

You don't give many clues - what was the name of the daughter and her
presumably you don't know her mother's name?
Just for starters - there is a Daniel James , carpenter, age 35 in the
1841 census for Morvil, Pembs.
Also in the household are
David James age 4
Maria James age 31
Mary James age 9
A Daniel James married Maria Thomas in Pontfaen in 1830 so that could
match with the ones above.
Bye for now
