Diana Richards was (I believe) born about1750 around Llanhadden.
She married John Gambold 12 February 1778 in Wiston.
He died 15 September 1802.
She married David Jenkins [Jinkins] 5 July 1803 in Rudbaxton.
She married John Lewis 1808 in Prendergast.
She died a widow in 1828.
Administration of the estate of Diana Lewis widow was granted in 1828 to her 3 sons
George, William and John Gambold. It was re-granted(?) in 1849 to George's sons
William and James and a Thomas Jenkins who was a farmer in Prendergast (Ivy Bush).
Questions, which I am hoping people might be able to help me with areas follows:
Does anyone have access to burials in Rudbaxton and Prendergast so that I can establish
when David Jenkins and John Lewis died? I am particularly interested in David Jenkins
because of the Thomas Jenkins who was part of the re-award of administration in 1849. The
1851 Census shows him living at Ivy Bush, Prendergast as follows:
JENKINS, Anne Head Unmarried 64 1787 Farmer
JENKINS, Thomas Son Unmarried 40 1811 Manager Of Farm
JENKINS, James Brother Unmarried 58 1793 Carpenter
Diana's last address was Stephen's Ford in Prendergast, which is where her
grandson James was living. Grandson William was living at Moorlands farm in Rudbaxton.
Does anyone know if Ivy Bush and Stephen's Ford are neighbours?
It’s a bit of a mystery because she had other grandsons, including another brother of
William and James.
