Thanks to many on the list, and most of all recently Paul Young, for
breaking a big hole in my brick wall.
Thomas MORGAN, Levi's father, and the rest of the family moved to
Aberdare between 1856 and 1861. That breaks down my brick wall, and I
think we've found Ann WILLIAMS (b: 15 Mar 1843) who emigrated with him
(at least on the same ship) in 1863 to the United States. In the 1861
census, there's an Ann WILLIAMS or two in Aberdare which may fit,
especially if there's a Mary Ann in the same household. Paul just also
gave me an Ann Williams in Merthyr Tydfil who fits well, especially with
parents listed as John Williams and wife Sarah.
There are many who helped along the way from 2000 until the present:
Leslie Buckle, Eleanor Ross, Gerry Lewis, Pat Powell, and Julie Preston.
Along with them are also Sylvia Birch, Wendy Angove, and Paul Young who
are copied on this message.
My sincerest thanks and best regards to you all.
P.S. Aren't you glad I won't be bugging you every few months? But I'll
miss you all while I'm lurking on the list.
