The town of Fishguard and Lower Fishguard are very close to each other there is only a
hill between them.
However, have found a possible for them in the 1881 census. They are living in Ferndale in
the Rhondda in the parish of Ystradyfodwg. Details below, see what you think. If these are
the right ones, then it would be a good idea to look through the St caths indexes for the
marriage, probably from about 1870 onwards in Fishguard. Once you have that then you will
have the fathers name and we will be able to pinpoint him and her in the 1851 census.
