ED Finder. If you know the street address of interest for the year 1940, or even the ED
[enumeration district] number for the 1930 census of that address, you can find the ED for
the 1940 census. It's cool. I found the ED's for several address and it will
tell you what microfilm roll number where it is located. I won't have to wait for the
