I have a photo that I posted on the dvhh facebook pg. I have family from Ebendorf parish
(Eichental filial) Kowatschi and Grossjetscha. these are the main villages where my
ancestors lived in the late 1800's and early 1900's.
In the background of this photo is a church. the door is not very tall and it is open.
through this portal you can see a round window with paned window. There are similar
windows on the bell tower of the Ebendorf church.
the other two churches have tall doors and tall pointed windows on the dvhh church pg.
(however I do not know if these windows are from this noted time period or have been
The online photo of the Ebendorf church has a shorter door, but the side windows are small
and square. Still the round windows in the bell tower;
I am asking:
1. Does anyone have a photo or knowledge of the Ebendorf church at the turn of the
century (1900). Does it have small round windows on the sides?
2. Have the church windows in Kowatschi and Grossjetscha been changed after WW1 ?
This may help me determine which family is in the photo.
thank you for any hints.
