Subject: [DVHH-Villages-L] House Painting in the Batschka
Dear List Members,
My grandfather was a house painter in his early married life in the Batschka. As a kid,
I remember him telling me that it was different than painting homes in the States --- that
it was like painting murals. I'm thinking that the type of painting he did was like a
stencil. Can anyone describe this kind of painting --- the designs and which rooms they
were painted in or were these designs on the exterior of the home?
