I ran across your post regarding at Rootsweb "Josephstadt Friedhof, Szilagyi Gasse
13, Timisoara, RO"
The correct spelling is Josefstadt.
Friedhof (German) in Romanian is Cimitir.
When searching on Google try "Josefstadt Cimitir Timisoara"
I've been to Josefstädt: http://www2.dvhh.us/temesquarters/IV-Josefstadt/index.htm
A distant cousin of mine (from Mercydorf) lives in Timisoara has family buried in the
cemetery; and the last time I was there I took photos, including the sign at the Cemetery
gate, with the
telephone number on it. If someone there can understand English
you could be in luck if you telephone and ask if your Graf family is found
there. Or you could try to write them them. See the contact information:
On a side note, the H.O.G. Chairman of the nearby suburb of Fratelia, is Ms. Franziska
who lives nearby my cousin in Ingolstadt, Ger. She may know more about your Graf family
from that area.
See her contact information: http://www2.dvhh.us/temesquarters/VI-Fratelia/index.htm
Not sure if you are subscribed to the DVHH mail list, if not, I invite you to join:
Take care and looking forward to us chatting again soon about the Prinz/Princz families,
have you learned anything new?
