yourself assuming that the particular entries have been entered in the
Database. If you scroll to the bottom and click on the link for
Principles of the Marriage Locator it will tell you how it works, which
is based on Quarter, Reg District, volume and page no.

I suspect most listers are aware that when one knows a correct marriage entry in the
BMD Index one can by a search on volume and page number narrow the possible spouse names
down to two and if one knows his/her Christian name (from a later Census) one may
"home in" to the correct person.
