To listers who live outside of Great Britain and who haven't heard today's
news (unless they read on-line British newspapers).
An index of some 230,000 Wills of soldiers who died in the Great War has
been released on the internet and can be purchased for a small fee.
Many of these - some 5% - were apparently accompanied by farewells to loved
ones which were kept by the Govt and never reached the intended family
Here's the link to England's Courts & Tribunal Service website where you can
both search and order copies. The index actually spans 1850 to 1986, though
most are likely from WWI at the moment.
