Yes, he was from Devon, Karen. I've got quite a lot on him and his
descendants are all alive and well and multiplied as you know! Will gather
together some material and contact you later - it's early in the morning
here and I sneaked out of bed to see what was on the computer for me....
I'm interested because he worked for my husband's ancestor George Salter in
Parramatta at one time. You may have accessed the records about John
Hannabus giving evidence about a stolen heifer??? Also, George, who had no
children, sent for his nephew James Salter of Tiverton who was married to a
Mary Ann Hannabus. I've been trying to find the family connection between
John and Mary Ann, but no luck so far.
