There is a Joan Jellard who marries a Nicholas Randell in 1749 in Sherford.
Don't know how closely related they are to the people you mention.
It could be that when the say Nephew, they may mean GreatNephew, or even
GreatGreatNephew depending on how close the families were and what the
actual age differences are.
Could even be descendents of Cousins of Andrew, if they were fairly
close and Andrew thought of them as a Nephew rather than the literal 1st
Cousin Once removed etc.

I now have another problem List, and hope that someone can offer some
I discovered a Will [I was cleaning out old CD's that I had copies of stuff
on] and found a Will for Andrew JELLARD of Chillington who died 1829 at
Chillington. Given I was looking at Tryphena yesterday I thought that it may
have been her father, but sadly as far as I can see, she is not named.
The Will has named a Peter RANDALL, my nephew at " The Mill " near
Chillington. I have a Peter RANDALL bapt 28 Aug 1816 at Mill, s/o Peter
RANDALL c 1798 and Nancy LOYE who married at Stokenham 2 Nov 1815.
He also mentions Niece Mary LOYE [w/o Philip LOYE].
I have both of the above people in my data base, but for the life of me
cannot see how they are Nephew/Niece to Andrew JELLARD who died 1829.
Who did this Andrew JELLARD marry? Was he Andrew Bastard JELLARD c 1757 s/o
Andrew [he was 70 when he was buried] . Did he marry Mary JELLARD 1792 in
Sherford. Andrew JELLARD does not mention his wife's name in his Will at
all. Are the beneficiaries nephew/nieces of Andrew or his wife Mary?
