ALexander Robinson and Ann Adams married by banns on 15 Sept 1817 in Tiverton. Alexander
was a soldier in the Inniskilling(sic) Dragoons and Ann was of this parish. An image of
the marriage record is on Find my Past.
Ann the daughter of Isaac and Jane Adams was baptised in Tiverton on May 24th 1794. This
was also on Find my Past.
Hope this helps

I am hoping the list can direct me where to go for my brick wall for
Robinson Hawkins. I have found Jane in all the census up to 1881 in
Devonport. She and her husband, James Hawkins, came to St. Louis, Missouri
USA about 1883. Their son, John, sent for them. Soon after James and John
die in St Louis and Jane is left alone. Her daughter-in-law, Lillie, does
not take her in as she remarries. Jane moves into the Home for the
Friendless in St. Louis which is a home for women who have no other place to
live. She dies in 1902. The Missouri Museum just had the records of this
home made available so I sent for Jane's records. I found that Jane's
husband, James Hawkins, was a sailor (actually a rigger at the Devonport
dock per census records.) Her father is Alexander Robinson born in
Tandergee, Ireland who was a soldier and received a metal for bravery in the
Battle of Waterloo. On the internet I found all soldiers in that war
received a medal. But for bravery is another thing. Jane's mother is Ann
Adams born in Tiverton, Devon. Now Jane was born in Edinburgh, Scotland
April 23, 1819.
Now where do I go to find more detail about Ann Adams and Alexander
Robinson? This would be marriage records, war records, birth records etc.
Sorry to make this so long but would appreciate some direction.
