Good day m'dears,
Just a note to let you all know about this event:
The village of Feniton is celebrating 150 years of the railway on 10:00am
5:30 pm Sunday 18th July 2010.
Admission £2.00, children free. Programme £1.00.
The Feniton History Group is putting together an exhibition of photos,
memories, local and family history in the Chapel. We would love to hear from
anyone who has recollections of Sidmouth Junction, as it was known, along
with the Nog Inn, formerly known as the Railway Hotel.
On the day, alongside the displays, there will be a DVD and Video of the
station, light refreshments, a room raffle, 1st prize being a South West
Train rail ticket, other prizes are a pass for Escot Gardens and a DVD.
This will be a poignant day as this will be the last event to be held in the
Chapel as it to be sold on the open market. The day will close with a
service taken by the Rev. Danny Beavan.
Any monies raised on the day will be shared equally with the Rev. Dannys
Baptist work in the village and The Friends of St. Andrews Church.
Look forward to seeing you all on the day. Contact: Chris Gibbins,
