Yes, Forde House was 'the manor house of Wolborough' (as in White 1850!
but he left the '-e' off). It still exists, in the Wolborough part of
Newton Abbot, and is used, with various annexes, as the HQ of
Teignbridge District Council. I'm interested in the REYNELL family,
because, as well as Wolborough and the nearby East and West Ogwell, they
also held Malston in Sherford parish, where my wife's ggfather (ADAMS)
was born; and at an earlier period (15th century) they actually appear
in her family tree. I must look up the book you mention in the West
Country Studies Library in Exeter.
