I have found from my own studies that a large block of Strete Church
Marriage Register records around 1900 did not find there way onto the
National Marriage Index. I suspect one volume did not get copied across, I
am uncertain if they are recorded in the local Devon Registrars Records.

The location of the church records for any Devon parish can be found
on the Genuki (Devon) pages: www.cs.ncl.ac.uk/genuki/DEV/
the name of the parish. In this case (Blackawton) it says:
Parish Registers going back to 1538 are held in the Devon Record
Office - for details see Parish Registers in the Devon Record Office.
(This is a link to another site.)
Strete Chapel has registers from 1836, but became a separate parish in
Other churches and chapels (with pre-1840 records):
St Michael, Strete (chapelry): Registers for 1836-1952 (C), 1871-1968

Ebenezer Wesleyan Chape, Blackawton and Strete: Registers for
c1811-37 - see Brixham Circuit (PRO RG 4/842) (Public Record Office)
Nothing entered into the IGI.
