Hello Tim and everyone,
Please come to Bonnie Scotland.
The affected area here is restricted to the part bordering England at Gretna
Green, Turn left at Gretna and continue along the A75 until you are west of
Gatehouse-of-Fleet. You are then entering a disease -free area which is
glorious and has many delightful golf courses in beautiful settings, e.g. St
Medan's at Monreith near the Isle of Whithorn, and Newton Stewart Golf
Course, and various ones near Stranraer and Port Patrick. From here you can
head north to Ayr and visit Turnberry, and Troon, and then the rest of
Scotland, which is disease-free.
For more details about the affected areas throughout GB please visit this
BBC web site, where there is a click-on map and a listing of all the farms
infected in all areas of GB.
Please come. The country has not shut down, though in affected areas and
those close to them walking amongst the forests and hills is taboo. At St
Medan's Golf Course which is beside the sea in a most spectacular setting,
you can play golf, walk your dog on the beach, and enjoy a nice 19th hole
Looking forward to seeing you!
