The chapel you are probably looking for is UPTON Vale Baptist Chapel- it is
very much in existence and is located at the town end of Lymington Road,
right opposite the main Torquay Library, although its address is sometimes
given as St Marychurch Road. It's actually situated between the two. There
is a Park Place , but its located on Park Hill Road , quite near to the
harbour, and not in St Marychurch. Are you sure its Park PLACE.
There's a Park Road and there was earlier a Park Crescent both in St
OPC (online Parish Clerk for Torquay) and DFHS representative on Devon-L
Torquay (ancient & modern) information or photos wanted.

Subject: Hanbury / St Marychurch
We've finally received the 1905 marriage certificate of James Hanbury +
Glanville and now know that their fathers' names were Jacob Hanbury +
Glanville. Does anyone know if Park Place, St Marychurch or Ashton Vale
Chapel, St Marychurch Road still exsists?
Thanks to all who pointed us in the right direction,
We're still looking for the marriage of Arthur Gill to Triphena possibly
??? late 1880 onwards.
