Hello from warm and sunny Australia,
I am going through the BD&M lists and I am a little confused about the
district that is registered in the indexes. I am looking for Henry Roberts
who was listed as being 11 in the 1881 census and who was born in Exeter.
He lived at 20 Exe Street St David.
I have three questions
1. I am assuming that the birth certificate is probably in the late 1869 or
1870 period. Is this assumption reasonable or is there something funny
about ages in the census?
2. What district will be listed in the BD&M indexes? ( I have been looking
for Exeter or St David but this is obviously incorrect)
3. In the 1890 and 1910 census that I have access to, there is no reference
to 20 Exe street. Does this mean that they may not have been home on census
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
