Having recently returned from a trip, this information/food for thought
response to the above inquiry doubtless arrives too late to be of any
assistance in helping to determine whether to purchase DeedMapper. Even so,
I believe my remarks might some day prove useful to someone. With that in
mind, I would like to point out to anyone planning to purchase and use
DeedMapper that not all folks who purchase the product are able to use it.
While I am
quite computer literate in Windows environments as well as DOS, I am unable
to use DeedMapper. Steve has many times walked me through
inputting of data; corrected and edited my fledgling efforts to map out a
Duplin Co., NC community; made himself available to me via both e-mail and
telephone, and helped in countless other ways.
The tutorial and sample were thoroughly studied and completed, at last
count, nine times. To date I have
been unable to map out my community.
Another deeds mapping program has been purchased. I have mapped out about
twelve communities, verifying results at the local courthouse land office;
however, these are not metes and bounds deed calls, but a modern surveyor's
