Question 1: My desire is to save/export, whatever, the "Table
View" of my
deed files in such a way that I can pull the table data into one Excel
spreadsheet. Is this possible? How?
I am aware of the capability of DeedMapper to print the Table View of each
deed file after sorting the data into any desired order. But, I wish to
combine the "table" data from each of my deed files into one spreadsheet for
One possible thing to help you: Print to a file which you can then manipulate
into the Excel spreadsheet. You need to add a text style printer (even though
you don't really have one) but specify "print to file". When you print,
configure it to legal paper size and landscape so all the data fits. The resulting
text file would need some editing, I believe, like replacing spaces with tabs.
Question 2: Is there a way to split a deed file into separate files without
using the time-consuming copy/paste feature for each tract?
You can copy/paste groups of deeds in the table view, unfortunately, it
pastes them in reverse order.
Alternative: Open the file in WordPad or NotePad, since it is a text file.
You can use WordPad to cut and paste any amount of deeds at once.
