I succeeded in getting a survey map showing township and lot lines,
scaled at 20 chains per inch. I had two jpg scans made: 100% and 50%,
400 dpi. I have a deed describing one part of the conveyed property by
metes and bounds measurements. I have imported the 100% scan into the
folder containing the deed. Plot is at 20 chains per inch. Image is set
at 1320 feet per inch, dpi 400.
Problem: entering the metes and bounds measurements into the deed file
results in a plat that seems to be roughly twice the size needed to fit
into the lot boundaries. I have adjusted the options but the only result
is that the map itself changes sizes.
The troublesome deed is this one:
Pt Westerly line of Lot 58 At the S boundary of the said railroad
Pt A)SW corner of lot 58
Pt B)SE cor of lot 58
Pt D)Stake on S RR line
My second problem: is there any way at all to color in blocks of lots
using Deed Mapper? The only option I have been able to think of is to
use the lat-long device to enter measurements for the lines of the block
of lots into a "deed". Hope this is clear!
Many thanks for your ideas.
