I have a database with some 800 plats, I started with several neighboring
creeks and also some deeds along the rivers that the creeks are between...
two months ago I found another ancestor lived in a section of this project
that was avoided - so I have been adding plats that are now making a
connection from one river to another with all the watersheds in between.
I made an image file from Topozone and added it to the project for the first
time but this was after the plats had been added- I have been trying to
reset the project center of some of the anchor point plats at stream mouths
so they are are in the right spots. Everytime I move the center point -
there is no change in the placement of the plats relative to the map image.
I expect to make some changes in all the plats positions - but the way it is
I would be doing major moving of plats to get them out of the way and back
into position - that's major surgery not cosmetic!!
Is there a way to change the center so all the maps shift on teh map
image - or some way to establish the correct position of the map image.
I am hoping to reposition only the latest plat addition of the new stream
and not the other seven streams as wel.l
Also any advice on dealing with declination issues using a Topozone map
image and eighteenth and early nineteenth century survey measurements would
be appreciated for Appalachian Region.
