I didn't try to plot this, but when you are dealing with calls along a
meandering stream sometimes there are large bends and the distance is really
much shorter as the crow flies. - What the survey record did was give a
shorthand of telling what they measured along the creek bed as it meanders
they just didn't give all the change in the courses and made it into one
mete and bound when it really was a larger number of individual measurements
to tedious to record- roughly sw or ne or whatever.
If you tried to plat it - it wouldn't work unless you can find and old line
on an existing Assessor's map and then figure out where the parcel was and
then redraw it using existing parcels or intermediate deeds that have more
specific information.
Best regards

Subject: [DMU] Daniel Clarke patent
Hello,
I am having trouble with the thousand acre part of this patent and would
appreciate any help. I think I have plotted the 698 acre part correctly
(came up with 685.9 acres). I have highlighted the thousand acre tract in
blue.
Thanks,
Gary
Daniel Clark
