I am mapping the North side of the James River, the area around the Belle Air Plantation.
I am trying to pinpoint the exact location of the Richard Bradford plantation and now
believe I have done so. I was hoping to compare maps with someone else for confirmation. I
need a couple more patent records to tweak the location even more. This program is great!
Thanks for the response,

I am not Frank, but I have done a little mapping recently in Charles City Co. and
sympathize with your problems. I doubt I can be of much help, I am also mystified by some
of their descriptions. It doesn't seem to make any sense when they first say north up
to the creek and south into the woods. I wonder if they picture themselves in the middle
of the plot as they describe it. If you get enough nearby patents, sometimes you get
enough clues to get a rough idea of where yours was. I supposed you have checked out LVA.
I worked on the area just south of the James River between Bailey's Creek and Powell

Frank Cannon would you please contact me on Charles City Virginia
mapping? Saw your name listed with no email address in the Research
Directory. I would like to compare notes on mapping this area.
