The National Genealogical Society 2010 Conference will be in Salt
Lake City 28 Apr to 1 May. But again, I do not know if Steve will be
there or anywhere else.
Sorry Lee, but I have spent more than a few hours and _flunked_
beginning deed mapper! And I, like so many other people am very busy
with daily distractions. I would REALLY
benefit from an off-site seminar where the phone, email, etc. does not
intrude on my concentration.
When I have the problem of needing no distractions when learning
something new, I create my own private seminars. I find a motel
somewhere nearby (usually within a 3-4 hour dive time where my wife
can go shopping or otherwise do her thing) and just enjoy myself. I
am only interrupted when my wife gets my attention and says it is
time to eat. <VBG>
Some specialized help would be very helpful for me, and maybe many
others. How about posting details on any such seminars with
information on date, place, event. You might be surprised how many
of us would sign up!
I have never taken advantage of Steve's workshops at the conferences
where I have seen him (I probably should -- I might learn something
<g>). Usually, I am involved in other ways and just don't have the
time. Still, I know a number of users have attended Steve's
workshops to great advantage.
But as Dave Bird mentioned, the Video Tutorials... available from the
Help menu are very good.
Hope this helps -
