Comments on the following are welcome
A number of people have asked that the Deed Entry form be used for both
entering a new deed and for editing a deed. After considering several ways in
which this might operate it is proposed that this be accomplished
by adding a new 'Edit Deed' button to the toolbars of the Plot, Text, and Table
F8 would be the hot key. The new button would be enabled if a deed is currently
selected and disabled if no deed is selected.
The Text View would still be available to you. F6 would still take you to the Text View.
If you currently use the Deed Entry form for entering new deeds and you are using the Text
for changes, you can continue to do that. Or you can use the new button to bring up the
Deed Entry form on the currently selected deed.
In the Table View today, if you double click a deed you are taken to the Text View.
This behavior would change to display the Deed Entry form if your View>Options>Text
set to use the Deed Entry form for new deeds. If you are currently using the deed
then there will be no change in behavior.
If an illegal entry is made in the Deed Entry form and you close the form it is proposed
erroneous information be highlighted in the form so it can be corrected. Currently, when
you close the
form you are taken to the Text View where the error is displayed.
