In the Screven Co. court house, there is a very carefully drawn plat of
a river island that was purchased by one of my ancestors. There is no
reference as to where it lies in relation to the shore line ----- and
the river is not named. Could be either the Ogeechee (probably) or the
Savannah. Late 1700's to early 1800's.
