On the page I tried to have Systemac (Norton) send you last night concerning
everything you need to know about this virus, it indicated a LONG list of
different names for all the attachments that badtrans runs under. It can
have any of a large number (20 or so) names. The one I got from you had the
word "CARD" something in it...maybe Card1 or something like that. It's gone
now, but that's what I remember, and then I saw it as one of the varieties on
Systemac's long list.
In reading through the notes on the Roots-List concerning this, I see someone
mentioned having zone alarm firewall, which they say found it. I also have
zone alarm (the paid for version), and it did NOT find it. But Norton
antivirus DID. I also just updated my Norton virus definition page.
In my case, all I had to do was delete the bad file. I think (and I hope)
that it did indeed work.
I hope you got the information from Systemac, and that it was helpful.
