Subject: [DMU] Table View Question
I am working with two others on a collaborative mapping project.
we are having difficulties with creating a table view file that can be
emailed and read by the other team members.
One team member created a 15 meg tableview file but this was too big to be
received via email. He went back and regenerated the table view, but this
time the file was only 11 meg. He zipped it to 2.8 meg and emailed it.
I received the 2.8 meg zip file, unzipped it with pkunzip (a dos program)
and recreated the output.prn file of 11 meg.
However, when I tried to open it in word, it came out as code only (when I
told word the file was a text file) and a column of 8 character code
I told word the file was a "recover text from any format).
Is there any kind of an archive of useful information about generating and
working with Table View files that would give me an idea of:
1. why the output.prn file would be 15 meg one time and 11 meg another
2. why I can't read the file with Word
