Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Mono for Windows is an application that is required to run Windows applications that use .NET services, on non-Windows OS's. Do a Google search on 'Mono for Windows' and you will find where you can download it.
However, since you have a presentation coming up, I'd wait to do this installation until afterwards, in case it causes your computer to become unstable.

Is anyone on this list using a Mac with El Capitan OS, Crossover 15, and DeedMapper 4.2? I have heard that DM will work with Crossover, so I decided to try it. When I try to launch DeedMapper, I get a Crossover error message:
“Command error text:
wine: Install Mono for Windows to run .NET applications.”
I have googled for help, but can find nothing clear and simple enough for me to try, for fear of messing up my Mac the day before a RootsTech presentation. :-)
Can anyone offer advice, help, somewhere else to turn?
