I really don't have any information on Isaac Daniel and Roseanna
Weatherford, but I seem to be uncovering more all the time. Folks started
hiding their indian heritage much earlier than 1940 - more like 1840 or
before. As the "Trail of Tears" march went through many areas the settlers
had made certain decisions regarding each Indian familiy and their
ability/fitness to live peacefully and cultivate or educate themselves. The
Indian Agent in each area submitted their reports. The Indian Agent in the
Monroe Co., AL area was Benjamin Hawkins. As a result, many used the name
"Hawkins" in tribute to his kindness in allowing them to stay on their land.
My interest in the family of Isaac Daniel and Roseanne Weatherford is that
their property and names are used many times in land discriptions of land
purchased by my Daniel family. "being bordered by the property of Isaac
Daniel in the SW corner". And, I'm always interested in helping others get
as much info about their families as possible.
Isaac Daniel lived in Monroe Co., AL until just before 1850. He is not
included in the 1850 census and I can't seem to get on his track after that.
(Maybe he did go to Missouri at this time - because a big migration out of
AL had started with Ark and TX as the end of the line. So, there are
families all along that migration route who didn't make the full journey.)
The Court records for this time are for the most part unreadable - but,
every now and then I'll find a page that I can pull off some information.
They had a courthouse fire and these records are water damaged with the ink
So, I'll see what I can find on Isaac and Roseanna. This is one of those
instances where by helping you - I might find my way, too!
I have contact with a William Weatherford descendant - I'll see if she has
any thoughts on Isaac and Levice, also.

Ruth, I know that some in these families married Native Americans...
was hushed up back in the 1940/50s ~ From info on my other computer,

If you have any of Isaac and Roseanna's children's names
marriages why don't you send them to me and let's compare Christian names,
marriage surnames and where they later moved. Annie
PS: You will see that I've added a note by Isaac, Jr. about having gone
Missouri... this originally was in some very unreliable information
received,... created in 1949. And, I've corrected Mary BLACKWOOD as
been Isaac, Sr.'s third spouse... an early morning typo.
