DANIEL and SELF, this is very interesting, especially tied to a SC
original address. The SELFS were also of the Morgan County, GA, as I
remember. Perry County, TN was also where some of the BELLS of Edgefield
and Aiken, SC moved in later years
I think this was the very same bunch of BELLS that generated the BELL
that ran with BRECKENRIDGE in the 1860 election for President. We know that
John C. BRECKINRIDGE came down through Jefferson County, GA after the Civil
War and stayed with a MOORE family, as he made his way out of the country
(to Cuba) after the Civil War.
We also know the BELL family of Edgefield/Aiken, SC was collateral with
the William DANIEL (or O'DANIEL) family of Edgefield, SC. We also know that
Woodson was a given name in several DANIEL families in GA, including the
family of Capt. Allen DANIEL of Madison County, GA and Capt. John O. DANIEL
of Elbert County, GA is listed by Payne DANIEL as a son of Benjamin
"Woodson" DANIEL of Wake County, NC.
One note, the FERGERSON name usually floats around the McDANIELS, as I
remember. I also do not know of any CURTIS family tied to any of these
Georgia DANIELS. There were some CURTIS's tied to the Reuben DANIEL family
of Middlesex and later Orange County, VA, as well as the TERRILL family.
There was also a CURTIS connection to the Zadock DANIEL (1768-1850) family
of Granville and later Warren County, NC. . From this last family, several
of his children, including a Dudley Diggs DANIEL (1802-1870) who married an
Emeline CURTIS, migrated to Drew County, AR. Other children of Zadock DANIEL
migrated to AL, GA, MS and TX. Zadoc was married to an Elizabeth Ann LEWIS,
daughter of James LEWIS and Susannah ANDERSON of Granville County, NC.
Zadock was a son of Col. John Williams DANIEL of Granville County, NC.

I believe, it was Rebecca DANIEL from Illinois that he married
Arkansas, ... not your Celia. Also, I believe your Illinois DANIEL

because why would my grandmother (1869~1969) have the CASEY and SELF
as having married into her husband's DANIEL families....
