I just got a copy of this request. Since my wife is 1/4 Cherokee I will find this
interesting. Do you have a chart of the basic DNA profile? If such a document exist.

Hi, John, Payne and whoever else is out there,
I did mtDNA which is not my Daniel line, of course, but also did the Family Finder
test. My cousin, Von, imported my results to ancestry dna so you can find me there, too.
What surname is Hollie listed with; maybe I can check and see if we connect? I have a male
Daniel cousin in the Y-DNA results as well as a 3rd cousin, also Daniel, my Aunt Mary
Moore is not in ancestry dna, but did the Family Finder. She was born a Daniel. Also on
Family Finder results, I have my father’s cousin; her mother was a Daniel, Beti An Hynes.
I’ve been curious about Native American DNA as my grandfather’s mother was supposed to
have been half Cherokee and it doesn’t look like it with my DNA. I’ve wondered if we end
up proving that the Native American’s came across an early land bridge and our DNA matches
WAY back. That’s just a random thought.

Hollie, our oldest daughter, had her DNA tested at 23andme.com
interesting results. Some of which surprised me. They said her origins
were from the Neander valley, Germany – Northwestern Germany with 40.5% of
her DNA being English and Irish, 20.5% German with smaller percentages
being, French, Spanish, Scandinavian and Finnish. Her haplotype was H5A1,
which is primarily found in the Tyrol regions of Austria, Hungary, Rumania
and Macedonia. She also had less than 1% Native American. which really
surprised me, because she looks like an Indian princess.
Another surprise was her percentage of Neanderthal Variant's – one of the
highest ever tested with around 4% of her total DNA being of Neanderthal
origin. I know she got some of the Neanderthal Variants from mr because I
have light hair on my back and do sneeze if I eat chocolate. Her MRCA was
The girls are going to test my DNA for my birthday in May. sao maybe we
will get some interesting results there. I feel our results will be similar
but not exactly the same.
