OK, Payne, I am going to jump in here. I have posted my info before but maybe someone can
hook on to it now. My husband's ancestor was Tilman R. Daniel. I believe he was from
Brunswick. He was born in 1790, in VA. He married Nancy Lucy in Warren Co, NC. She was
from Brunswick and her family stayed there. Wish I knew what the R. stands for. That would
be a help. Tilman named his son Theophilus P. Nancy had a brother named . I feel the P.
would be from his family.
Since there was a Peter in Brunswick and in Warren, I feel he would be a likely prospect.
However, I have no proof of connection. Can anyone out there help?
Still around,
Freda Daniel, wife of Tillman Moody Daniel. We just had a great grandson, Tillman Daniel
the 7th!

On our last outing only a few nice souls bothered to assist me with any answer. Let’s
try again.
You may or may not know that with Kevin’s help we established that my Ambrose Daniel was
not a Caroline Daniel Co., Va. person. Okay, now where does his family go. It is fairly
certain that Ambrose Daniel was a Brunswick Co., Va., connection, and in 1786 he along
with Peter Daniel of Warren County North Carolina were on the same census. That being said
one might expect that several Daniel families would come out of Brunswick into North
Carolina, say to Halifax, Warren, and Rowan Co., NC? A clinker comes with a Daniel named
Joseph who was born in 1725 in Brunswick Co.,Va ., and that is where he stayed until
death
My question is, who was the father of this Joseph Daniel (He had some contact with a
Thomas Daniel who shows up in two families of Brunswick but with no dates to help out). I
do not believe he was an immigrant Daniel.
So where do the Daniels of Brunswick Come from, let’s look at this way:
Immigrant Daniel of Brunswick with sons - Hugh Daniel, John Daniel Sr., and Peter Daniel
Sr. So where have all the records gone? There is not Joseph to fit fitting into this
group, yet?
I know there are some researchers, who have not passed on yet, with an interest in the
disposition of the various families who did migrate to NC from Va.,
It would be a shame if the Daniel-List aged out, maybe because they think all the fact
are in. I have been recruiting my grand daughter to see if she might be interested but
the task my take some time etc.
