I don't have any idea if these Texas Boren folks are related to my
Kentucky/Mississippi Boren's, or my Tennessee Daniel folks. I just thought
the story was interesting, and wanted to encourage Janna, who has Boren
relatives, to join our BOREN list.
DANIEL is a pretty common surname, but BOREN is less common. My great
grandmother was a BOREN.
My Tennessee DANIEL line traces back to Robert C. Daniel (b. 18 Jul 1791
North Carolina - d. 16 May 1870 Bedford Co. Tenn) who settled in Bedford
County Tennessee by about 1812, and is buried on Daniel Hollow in what is
now Moore County, TN. Two of his son's Thomas K. & H.P.K. Daniel moved to
Claiborne County Mississippi and married into the Boren family there in 1844
& 1851. I have been blessed in finding my cousin Evelyn Daniel Van Meter who
still lives on Daniel Hollow in Moore County, and has the Robert C. Daniel
I am participant #9875 in our DANIEL DNA project, and a direct match with
Faron Daniel who is a descendant of Plummer Daniel of Wayne County
I'm hoping to make a little trip this fall up the Natchez Trace from Port
Gibson Mississippi to Waynesboro Tennessee, then east to Lynchburg. I want
to find my roots, and meet my living cousins.
Linda, what part of Tennesse are your DANIEL folks from?
Fort Worth, Texas

How are these BORENs related to the Tennessee DANIELs? Tennessee is where
my DANIEL family settled when marrying into the DALTON and COILE families.
