I assume you have seen this? It does not prove that Aaron DANIEL, who some
list as a son of Moses DANIEL and Charlotte KINGSLEY, and who was born 1816
and John C. DANIEL, who some also list as a son of Moses and Charlotte, were
in the same GA, VIR.
However, as most know -- kids born in the 1815 era, as this Aaron has been
listed, did not serve in the CW, to any great degree, especially early. I
just cannot see almost 50 year old guys serving as soldiers in the CW,
especially early. I think there is a "lost generation" in some of these
Moses DANIEL records which is why you have a John C. age 24 in the 1860
census information for Thomas County, GA.
Typically, the CW was fought by enlisted men born ABT 1840 and led by
officers born ABT 1830. To see two privates born in the 1815/1820 range was
not normal in the least.
I do think there is a good chance that John C. and Aaron DANIEL found in
these records of the 29th GA VIR were brothers or at least related. I do
not think they are the John C. and Aaron listed as sons of Moses DANIEL and
Charlotte KINGSLEY. Grandsons of Moses and Charlotte -- possibly.....

Subject: [DANIEL-L] John C. Daniel
As I said earlier, I am now focusing on John C. Daniel b. 1832 son of
Daniel of Thomas Co., GA. I think there is a good possibly that he
father of Augustus Elijah Daniel.
I have not been able to learn much about him, but I have found a list of
who were in Company B (later changed to Company E), 29th Regiment,
County, "Ochlocknee Light Infantry". In the list is one J.C. Daniel;
is John C.. He was a private--August 27, 1861. He died at home in
Co., October 7, 1863. His son (?) Augustus Elijah would have been 7 years
I also found where a John Daniel married an Elizabeth in Thomas Co. on May
24, 1827, but the date is wrong for my John C.. My John C. did marry
with the first initial "E".
