I saved this email from the Donald Joseph Daniel DNA participant (who had a
25/25 match with John Clarke's cousin, my cousin, and Cecil Daniels:
"My father was Charles, Nathaniel, John, Thomas L., William, and Benjamin.
My line goes back to England to the year of 1545. From Benjamin back to
Roger. I received that information from a Daniel from Dublin, Ga. She said
that it was all checked out. It doesn't say anything about the children. The
only Joshia (Josiah) that I have was born about 1740. His father was Thomas
I (Georgia) actually had looked at some census information on some of these
people listed above and found this:
Nathaniel G. Daniel 1930 Census GA Laurens Co. Dist 76, Images 2 and 3 of
19. He is 37 and wife Effie Lee Daniel is 37. They have 8 children, one of
which is Charles 2-1/2 years old. Nathaniel and wife and 4 ch are in the
1920 GA census of Laurens Co., Bailey, Dist. 78. He is 28 and she is 30.
has a military document on Nathaniel G. Daniel online (1917)
and it mentions Dublin, GA. I'm sure you have all this. In 1900 census there
is a Jno. F. Daniel b Apr 1861 age 39 b GA who has a son Nathan G. It says b
Aug 1891. The military record says b Aug 9, 1892. Just one of those things.
I didn't try to go back any further without some dates of birth.
We may need to do more work on this family to see the Roger Daniel
connection. I'll email and see if Donald will upgrade to a 37 marker test. I
wonder who the lady in Dublin, GA, might be?
