I came late to this message, but wish to add a word about a cousin who took
some of what I had given her (for her own family charts) on my maternal
side, not the Daniels, and entered it to FTM incorrectly. She added
information that came from her imagination, a problem for anyone researching
my Hollister line. Sharing has been a chief pleasure for me, too, but it is
now carefully given.

Okay, I rarely post to this board, but read it religiously. I
William of Middlesex County, VA, so I have not unearthed anything
significantly new to report. But I had to comment on stolen research.
I have been
researching for 25 years, and I lecture locally and nationally. I

And we'd all love to share. But I too have my research VERBATIM online
from a cousin who "just wanted to know about the family." I mistakenly
some of my database. That database is now everywhere to be found -- all
credited to him. I have good friends who also research for a living who
this happen. It's frustrating. And unfortunately it makes us hold on
our wonderful "finds" ever so tightly when we should be sharing. It's
unfortunate. So please PLEASE document and give credit. You'll make
friends and get more help in the future.
Thanks for the soapbox moment.
