<< I have further records that suggest John Daniel, Sr. was in Brunswick Co
the 1740s with a close association with Peter Daniel. Am anxious to sort
out this line!
Your research here caught my eye. A Peter Daniel and Randall Daniel, both
mentioned in your post were listed on the Rowan County 1790 cencus along with
my ancestor, James Daniel. Two other Daniels (Josiah and Sion) were also on
the cencus. I have been trying to connect any of these people to my ancestor
as an approach to determine my ancestor's parentage. Peter died in Rowan
County in 1791 and left a will naming widow, Winnifred, and son Paul; no
other children listed. Executors were widow and Sion Daniel who is listed as
a friend. Have not found much on Randall except that he married Christena
Grimes in Rowan Cty 3 Jun 1819 and was listed on Rowan 1798 tax list for
Captain Harmon's Company. Hope some of this is beneficial to you.
