In response to Payne Daniel's inquiry (below), I offer the following list of
publications, many of which discuss the William Daniel of WIGAN (England). I
have not personally viewed these publications, instead was sent a description
of these by other people over the years, and I had intended "SOMEDAY" to get
my hands on each and see what I could make of it. ('Someday' hasn't arrived
yet). Maybe some of the subscribers to this list will be able to find them at
their local library (genealogy dept) and report back with their opinions? One
of these is about the Daniel families of Dorchester and Milton, Mass.and
Notice the last 2 items are microfilm which anyone can rent thru their
local LDS Fam Hist Center (order number provided, about $3.25 per roll) which
might shed more light on this. Hope this helps. Joyce
1. Abridged Compendium of American Genealogy, 929.2V. Volume 3 supposedly

Lancashire, Col of Reg of Inf in serv of Parliament. It has from Peter Daniel
and wife Julian, their son Thomas and his wife Margaret Wilbraham (etc) down
to our William Daniel Jr and 2nd wife Mary Moseley, their girl Sarah b
1704....however, it says she married a Lindsay and our records show she
married a Nixon. One is wrong.

<< Was William Daniel of Wigan, b. 1625, (England) the same individual as
Daniel, b. 1625, (England) who married Katherine Greenaway and died in
Cambridge, Mass? Remember William of Wigan was married to Dorothy Forth and
supposedly died in England. Both of these fellows have been listed with the
same siblings, Henry, Richard, and Robert Daniels, etc., and with parents
Peter Daniell, II and C. Groeevsnor or with parents Peter Daniels and Sarah
Wilcocks. I actually believe that Peter Daniels is the son of Peter Daniell,
II and the brother of William of 1625. Capt. William Daniel of Middlesex has
been associated with this line but he has been confused with William of Wigan
whose sons William and Henry bore no issue. Please don't quote WFT, they are
partly responsible for the confusion. Can you also tell me why Robert Daniel
b. 1595-1600, should be included in the list of sibs for Peter and Christiana?
He also died in Mass and was born a year before their date of marriage
Oh, you cannot connect William of 1625 with the William's, father and
also descended from Piers Daniel/ll and Juliana Newton.
