This is a synopsis of information from the above approved DAR
application. I was amazed this DAR information was not included in the 150
volume DAR database at Ancestry.com
This is not a good copy of this application but I will try to do the
best job I can on it. This DAR application was included in the packet of
DANIEL information sent to me by Mrs. Lucy GRAY of Pensacola, FL. I will
capitalize all surnames, as appropriate.
Descendent of: Thomas DANIEL born in VA about 1740, died in Green County, GA
after the 7th Day of April 1813. His place of residence during the
Revolution was Washington County, GA (date of Will and Prince Edward County,
I am the daughter of:
1. John Bluford DANIEL born on 13 Mar 1863 at County Line, Lee County, AL
died at Opelika, AL on 11 Nov 1918 and his wife Clara Serena JOHNSON born on
13 Feb 1870 at Fredonia, AL, died at Opelika, AL on 18 Aug 1931, married on
7 May 1890.
2. The said Clara Serena JOHNSON was the child of Charles Smith JOHNSON,
born on 11 Dec 1833 at Wilkes County, GA, died at Anniston, AL on 13 Mar
1916 and his wife, Mary Ann Hazeltine DANIEL born on 17 Jan 1838 in Georgia
and buried in Anniston, AL on 21 Feb 1930, married on 28 Apr 1859.
3. The said Mary Ann Hazeltine DANIEL was the child of Charles William
DANIEL born at Green County, GA and died at Chambers County, AL after 1853
and his wife, Elizabeth Ann JENKINS, born 2 Oct 1815 at Green County, GA and
died at Salem, AL on 25 Jul 1891, married 22 Dec 1835 at Green County, GA.
4. The said Charles William DANIEL was the child of William DANIEL born
about 1768 at Virginia and died, probably Green County, GA before 1813, and
his second wife, Mary KING, born about 1771 at Green County, GA and died at
Green County, GA , married 9 Mar 1789 in Green County, GA.
5. The said William DANIEL was the child of Thomas DANIEL born about 1740
at Virginia, died in Green County, GA after April 7, 1813 and his wife,
Sarah, born Virginia, died 1815/1816, married about 1770.
