My ancestor, Amanda F. E. Daniel b. 20 Feb 1814 in Campbell County, KY; d.
3 August 1882 in Pendleton County, KY; daughter of Garrett Daniel and Ann
B. (Nancy) Daniel, was supposedly a descendant of Pocahantas. Her
ancestors were from Virginia and Carolina long prior to its sale to the
King of England and its division into North and South Carolina, perhaps as
early as 1650, when the settlement was made near Edenton by emigrants from

1788.m Jane Ann Mayfield was born 1753, daughter of Abraham Mayfield and
Mary Ann (Polly) White.
I have never found anything to substantiate this.
