John and I are looking at possible connections to Capt. William Daniel of Middlesex Co.,
Va. and a place called "Over Tabley" Norfolk, Massachusetts. I am intersted in
1. Was there a real place called "Over Tabley, Norfolk, Mass/in the period 1650 -
1700 in Mass(America)
2. Is this a confusion of the home place of the Daniels of Over Tabley, England, and the
Daniel family of Mass., who settled Milton, Mass.?
3. Wouldn't it be difficult for Catherine Greneway/Greenaway of Mass. to marry Capt.
William Daniel of Middlesex, in Mass, in about 1650 when the second child of William
Daniels of Mass. and Catherine Greenaway was born in Milton, Mass 18 Aug. 1646?
4. Were there two William Daniell/s in Mass and did they both marry a Catherine Greenaway?
I am going to withhold my view on this subject until we have some answer to this
"Over Tabley", Norfolk, Mass. question. John has a plausable reason to suspect
there were two Williams, and we hope to sort it out. Payne http://paynedaniel.com
