Isaac B. Daniel Randolph County, Alabama
I found the following information on Ancestry.com
message board. I have not proven this
fact myself but it certainly sounds correct. Isaac could very well be named Beck because
it was his mother's maiden name.
I plan to send for Joshua B. Smith widow's Pension file from the Indian War. It
seems t have a lot of information about our family.

In researching Joshua B. Smith of Randolph County, Alabama, I have purchased his widow
Lucy's Indian War pension file. In it is an affidavit that I think Isaac B. Daniel
researchers will appreciate and thought I would share the information.
The affidavit names him as Isaac Beck Daniel. He signs his name as Isaac Beck Daniel in
two places. The affidavit is dated 24 December 1892. His address is given as Sewell,
Randolph County, Alabama.
Isaac states he was present at the 1826 marriage of Joshua and Lucy in Newton County,
Georgia. William Lovvorn from Carroll County, Georgia, was also an affiant and was present
at the marriage. William also states that he had known Joshua since childhood.
I think there must be a connection with Joshua to Hannah Smith, the mother of William
Lovvorn and Isaac Beck Daniel's wife, Elizabeth Lovvorn. Joshua B. Smith was born in
Georgia about 1803. If anyone has any info to help with Hannah Smith's family, I'd
not a Daniel researcher but following every lead to track down Joshua B. Smith's
